What We Offer

General NanoSystems offers In-Store Repair and Upgrade Services for both Mac and PC notebooks, servers and desktop computers. Repairs and upgrades can often be done while you wait, but some repairs of greater complexity may require you to check in your machine for one or more days.

All on-the-spot repair and upgrade work is performed on a first come, first served basis. Generally speaking, notebooks, desktops and servers that are dropped off for repairs and/or upgrades are also serviced in the order that they were checked in. However, all warranty work is given the highest priority.

Additionally, if you need your computer in a more timely fashion, Rush Service is available for a fee.

Free On-the-Spot Diagnostics: How It Works
  1. Bring in your notebook or desktop PC during our regular business hours.
  2. We will do basic diagnostics tests on your computer. Usually, within 15-30 minutes we will be able to diagnose the problem and give you an estimate of the work that is needed. There is no obligation for this free service.
  3. Once we find a solution, if you elect to have the work done, a large number of repairs can be done by you wait. More complex repairs may take 24 hours to several days to return to you.
  4. In the event that we cannot find a solution to your problem while you wait, you will have the option of leaving the machine for a more complete diagnosis. This service is free of charge and has no obligation, as well.
Warranty on Repair and Upgrade Services

General NanoSystems offers a 30 day parts and labor warranty on all work done, unless otherwise noted. For more information on our general warranty policies, please also look at our Warranty Policy page.

Rush Service

If you need your computer in a more timely fashion than can be delivered by standard wait times, please speak with a technician regarding rush service. In all cases, rush service can expedite the delivery of your machine and get you back up and going as soon as possible.

** Requires Microsoft Certificate of Authenticity. All data on the hard drive will be lost. Price does not include additional software installation.

*** Free Diagnostics excludes servers, workstations, watercooling, and legacy (DOS, Windows 95, 98, Me, Windows 2000) computers.

**** Time Machine is a part of MacOS 10.5/10.6. Price quoted is for labor and does not include MacOS 10.5/10.6 upgrade.

Data Loss

General NanoSystems cannot be held responsible for data loss due to viruses, hard disk failure or any other occurance. However, we will do everything in our power to reduce the possibility of this happening. This occurs in extremely rare circumstances and we will inform you of any procedures that could potentially damage your information.

We recommend, if at all possible, that you backup your important information prior to it being serviced.

Abandoned Computers

Computers left for more than 120 days from the day of drop off will be considered abandoned and will become property of General NanoSystems unless other arrangements are made.
